Empowering Mental Wellness

Compassionate and Integrative Care
Hello! My name is Marisol. I am passionate about providing collaborative and comprehensive mental health care, working with you to personalize your care and ensuring that you receive the best possible support for your health and well-being.
Over the past 15 years of practice, I have worked in inpatient, residential, and outpatient/community-based practices; gaining valuable experience in acute/emergency care, long-term care strategies, as well as collaborative team care approaches within psychiatry.
Training:
-
Medical Degree (MD) - Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), 2010
-
Masters in Clinical Research (MCR) - OHSU, 2010
-
Residency in General Psychiatry - OHSU, 2013
-
Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry - OHSU, 2015
-
Integrative Psychiatric Fellowship - Integrative Psychiatry Institute, 2022
Treatment approach
I take an integrative approach, considering biological, psychological, and sociological factors in one's life. I emphasize evidence-based treatments in both western and eastern medicine as well as non-pharmacological therapeutic approaches to create a comprehensive treatment plan.
Together, we will explore whether medications, supplements, nutritional changes or therapy may be beneficial in your mental health journey; utilizing one-on-one interviews and collaboration with primary care physicians, therapists and/or school counselors and teachers when warranted.
I rigorously maintain medical licensing in both the states of Washington and Oregon.
Note: I'm providing telehealth treatment only at this time.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Care
Initial Evaluation:
-
Initial consultation is held via telehealth using a secure HIPAA compliant platform with CharmHealth. This session is with parents/guardians only. This is typically 60 minutes and is billed as an initial consultation. I will review past and current medical history, current concerns and goals during this time.
-
The second session is typically 60 minutes and is held with your child via telehealth. If they are under 13 years old, I would meet with them along with you. If they are over 13 years old, I will meet with them one-on-one or along with their parent/guardian to their comfort level.
-
If warranted, I will receive permission to collaborate with your child's school counselor, individual therapist or primary care provider to help further formulate a comprehensive treatment plan.
-
The third session is held with both parents/guardians and your child to review my observations, recommendations, Q&A and to determine the next steps in care.
